Convert the visitors that you are already getting.

sellingtowebsitevisitorsIn the race to get as many visitors as possible to our website and e-mail marketing campaigns, it often boggles me why a lot of Brisbane's business people don't convert what they already have into leads and sales. A site getting 100 unique hits a month from the Brisbane area and converting 5% is a lot better than a site getting 5000 uniques from Indian call-centres with no conversion.

The question is how do you improve the conversion rate of your website.

Well there are a couple of things that you need to look at...

The first thing you should have is a method of tracking how many people are looking at your site, and more importantly how don't leave after seeing just one page (bounce rate) and even more importantly where they are going. All iSonic Joomla websites are integrated into the Google Analytics system however there are many systems out there that will allow you to do this. Having this type of tracking will better allow you to understand what your visitors are doing when they come to your site, and therefore what can be improved on.

The next thing to look at is your calls to action. There is a plethora of ways to call a visitor to action the main methods being big buttons saying 'CALL NOW,' putting your phone number in huge, or having big email newsletter sign up areas. These are quick and easy ways of making your site conversion better.

Another idea is to have a pop-up style window that comes up after a person being on your site for 4-5 seconds. With this you can show a quick video, have a special keyword they can say for a deal when they call you, or the latest news about your business! A good example of this is Complete Storage in Capalaba.

If you want to go a step further, iSonic have the tools and equipment to record you in front of a green screen. This allows you to walk onto your website when someone visits and show them around. It is a great way of making your site unique, while also giving the visitor a chance to "meet you" before they meet you!

Until Next Time.

This blog is good for those who are getting started with figuring out how to utilize the internet for business and marketing purposes. Google Analytics is a great program as well, I've seen it do wonders a few times for many businesses.
